Overview

Masterclass Education is seeking compassionate and adaptable SEN Classroom Assistants to join our bank staff team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to cover absences and provide additional assistance during peak times on an as‑needed basis. As a bank staff member you will be called upon to cover absences and support students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and engage fully in school activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHCPs and other personalised learning strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers to support the learning environment, including preparing materials and facilitating activities.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support student well‑being and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCO and other staff to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to student support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO as required.
  • Be available to work on short notice and adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.
