Job description

This post will be suitable for a passionate and highly motivated psychologist / CBT therapist interested in ensuring excellent psychological care is accessible for children and young people with complex mental health needs from diverse backgrounds, through delivering direct therapeutic interventions, providing supervision to junior colleagues, and providing consultations to the MDT and other services. This is a part-time (18.75 hours) secondment cover post based in Guildford.

Psychology in SABP has a history of being highly valued and clinicians are well supported to develop their generic and specialist skills in a range of therapeutic models. We encourage staff to be involved in service development, audit and research. We provide regular supervision and access to CPD opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychological needs of people using our services
  • To supervise and teach unqualified staff, including students
  • To promote a psychological perspective within the team and with other agencies
  • To support team managers and clinical leads in the development and delivering of effective services
