A prominent healthcare service in Leicester is looking for a Band 7 CAMHS Crisis Team Mental Health Practitioner. The candidate will assess and provide support to young individuals in mental health crises, ensuring high-quality clinical practice. Experience in CAMHS or crisis intervention is ideal. The position requires participation in a 24-hour service rota. Flexible working options are available.
An exciting opportunity to join our CAMHS Crisis Plus Service based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. The post holder will assess and follow up on young people and children who attend in a mental health crisis and present with complex and challenging needs. This post is for a full time permanent or a full time 6 month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment.
The service has been developed in order to meet the needs of an increasing number of referrals for this significantly complex patient group of children and young people and their families, who may seek support from emergency services and / or attend A&E and are unable to return home in the absence of immediate support.
The candidate will need to have a strong understanding and knowledge of social care principles regarding LAC and would feel confident to facilitate and attend strategy and multi-agency meetings regarding the welfare of the child to aid smooth transition and discharge from hospital.
We are looking for a forward-thinking creative practitioner, who is young person and family centred.
It would be desirable if they have experience of working within CAMHS or with a crisis team.
This will be a 24-hour, seven days a week service, including Bank Holidays and staff will be required to participate fully in the 24-hour rota.
