Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Locum Paediatric Early Years Speech and Language Therapist to join our Early Years Services team in Haringey.

What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role?

As a Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Early Years Speech and Language Therapist candidate will be responsible for managing a mixed caseload of children with speech, language, and communication needs, including those with complex special needs. You will provide assessment, therapy, and training to children, families, and other professionals within clinics and nurseries. This role involves delivering specialist input into the assessment and therapy for children aged 2-5 years with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN), including autism. The therapist will offer individual and group-based interventions and contribute to the development of tailored therapy plans that address the diverse needs of the children in your care.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience in paediatric speech and language therapy, particularly within early years settings
  • Ability to manage a mixed caseload, including children with complex special needs
  • Proven skills in assessment and therapy for SLCN, including autism
  • Experience in providing therapy and training to children, families, and professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
