Job summary

A leading NHS trust in the UK is seeking registered Pharmacy Technicians for its team at Queen’s Hospital in Romford. This role involves clinical ward-based duties, inpatient, and outpatient dispensing, and discharge counselling, all while providing a patient-oriented service. Ideal candidates will hold NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. This is a great opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a UK hospital preferred.
  • Newly qualified pharmacy technicians or those about to qualify are considered.

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our team based at Queen’s Hospital in Romford.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical ward-based duties, including assessment of patient’s own drugs and drug history taking.
  • Inpatient, out‑patient & controlled drug dispensing.
  • Discharge counselling.
  • Carry out routine pharmaceutical duties in a professional manner and provide a high quality, patient orientated service, both in dispensaries and on the wards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
  • Newly qualified pharmacy technicians or pharmacy technicians about to qualify are considered.
  • Experience of working in a UK hospital.
  • Hard working, accurate, and patient focused.
