Rate £15 - £23 (Dependent on experience)

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable pharmacy assistant to join the friendly and dedicated pharmacy team within this NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the safe and effective use of medicines across the hospital. You’ll work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the dispensing and supply of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions
  • Accurately label, assemble, and issue medicines in accordance with departmental procedures and legal requirements
  • Assist in stock management, including ordering rotation, and expiry checking
  • Support the distribution of medicines to wards and clinical areas
  • Work collaboratively within the team to maintain efficient workflow and high standards of accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, providing a friendly and professional service
  • Participate in training and development activities to build skills and knowledge within hospital pharmacy
Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in pharmacy services
  • Previous hospital or community pharmacy experience
  • Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
