Job summary

A local mental health service provider in Birmingham seeks an organised Administrator / Secretary to support their Specialist Psychotherapies Service team. This role includes providing essential secretarial and administrative support, managing correspondence, coordinating diaries, and maintaining accurate data across services. Ideal candidates will have qualifications in Business Administration and experience as a secretary. This full-time fixed-term position offers a salary from £27,485 to £30,162 annually.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of NVQ 3 in Customer Care/Business Administration required.
  • Must possess RSA II Typing or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE Grade 'C' in English and Maths is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate appointments, diaries, and team communications.

  • Experience of Microsoft software packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Working knowledge of Data Protection Act and Information Governance
Desirable experience
  • Experience handling petty cash.
  • Experience of organising training and events, catering, liaisons with venues
  • Previous experience of working in a health environment within a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Knowledge or insight of Mental Health issues
