Admissions & Applicant Engagement Advisor – Business to Markets

Location: Stoke Campus

Salary: £28,381 to £32,546 Per Annum (Fixed Term Maternity Cover)

About The Role

We have an exciting fixed term opportunity within our International Admissions team based in our Business to Markets function. This role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious international recruitment targets whilst also delivering an outstanding end-to-end service to International fee status applicants. The role will be responsible for making decisions in compliance with UKVI regulations and internal policies and procedures, often working to prescribed service level agreements and strict deadlines. This role will require an individual who is committed to delivering outstanding customer service but enjoys working in a fast-paced, competitive but highly-regulated setting.

Please note that this is a fixed term opportunity until June 2026.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of UKVI policy and regulation, ensuring that relevant processes to safeguard the University’s Highly Trusted Sponsor licence are followed at all times and undertaking ongoing training as required.
  • Responsible for international application processing, offer-making and fee status assessment from a range of sources including Overseas Partners, Agents, UCAS and direct, utilising the International Admissions toolkit and maintaining consistently high levels of accuracy.
  • UKVI SMS (Sponsor Management System) Level 1 user responsible for undertaking all duties related to pre-CAS assessment and issuance of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) documentation, including Pre-CAS Interviews and Visa Finance Checks, making risk-based decisions on Student Visa suitability in accordance with UKVI regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Embody the University values by providing a customer-focused and professional contact point for key internal and external stakeholders, delivering a service which effectively contributes to the University’s ambitious recruitment and conversion targets.
  • Effective time management throughout the cycle, balancing priorities and contributing to a high-performing recruitment-focused function within the Admissions team.
  • Mandatory staffing on a rota basis of key recruitment and conversion activities such as outbound calling, attendance at Offer Holder and Open Days, and Clearing.
