The Cloud Operations Team sits within the Operations Function at Softcat and is dedicated to driving excellence in cloud strategy & execution. The team is structured into two dynamic units, Cloud Procurement & Marketplace Cloud Enablement. You will sit within the Cloud procurement unit within Cloud Operations focusing on the procurement of all vendor cloud programmes for our customers. You will have specific responsibility for the processing of AWS Marketplace orders whilst understanding all aspects of the AWS programmes and how this impacts the wider Business Operations teams including finance. You will be working with internal stakeholders to ensure the right operational processes are in place that align to our marketplace strategy with a focus on automation that is sustainable & mitigates any additional risk to Softcat.

What you\'ll be doing

• Supporting the Cloud Operations buyers with the processing of all customer AWS Marketplace transactions
• Management of any AWS Marketplace returns
• Management of the ‘GP Adjustments\' to our sales teams
• Tracking the widermarketplace spend of all customers who sit on our billing platform and where relevant working with our marketplace sales team to support with additional offers
• Support finance in mapping the AWS disbursements to the offers that have taken place
• Tracking & communication of all AWS marketplace renewals
• Coordinating suggestions for AWS Operational improvements & feedback to AWS when agreed
• Maintain AWS Marketplace programmatic knowledge & communicate impact of any changes to relevant stakeholders
• Pro-actively manage any risks to the business caused by customer non-payment to AWS
• Support finance with tracking the VAT on AWS process flows on UK and worldwide transactions
• Supporting Cloud Operations Buyers with AWS marketplace commercial reporting

What we need from you

• 1-2 years\' experience working within the IT industry
• Experience within a procurement or operational department is advantageous but not necessary
• Excellent Excel skills to support with cloud billing and reporting
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• A self-starter attitude to pro-actively problem solve and advise
• Ability to adapt quickly and retain large quantities of information
• Ability to remain calm and focussed whilst under significant time pressures
• Excellent time management skills and willingness to work anti-social hours on occasion; ability to multitask, set own deadlines, prioritise, and deliver against them.
