Job summary

Arnold Clark in Bolton is seeking a Service Advisor to deliver and sustain a fantastic experience for service and vehicle repair customers. You will be a warm, clear communicator who guides customers through the service process—from drop-off to completion.

This role suits someone with customer service experience, a passion for solving problems, and the ability to work with workshop staff to progress jobs. Full-time hours include some Saturdays; driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use IT systems and manage customer data.
• Ability to multitask in a busy workshop environment.
• Good organisational skills to schedule work and keep records.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer requirements for service and repairs efficiently and professionally.
• Liaise with workshop and bodyshop to progress work through the system.
• Manage computer-based jobs, purchasing and invoicing processes to protect customer and company interests.
• Inform customers of faults or repairs and provide clear solutions.
• Address dissatisfied customers with empathy and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle histories.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of aftersales products and services and upsell where appropriate.
• Ensure customer database is accurate at all times.
