Job summary

A leading construction firm based in Bristol is seeking an Automation Process Analyst to support efficiency improvements through workflow automation and project assistance. Candidates should have knowledge of Python and Microsoft Azure services like Power BI. The role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to identify their needs and enhance software workflows. This is an office-based position, five days a week.

This role is office based 5 days a week at our Head Office in Central Bristol.

The role of Automation Process Analyst reports to the Data and Automation Lead and supports a range of projects and day to day tasks. These are mostly focused around looking for improvements to efficiency across the company aiming to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks and mitigate human error. You will also support in other IT based projects, such as data migration, ensuring data integrity and utilising Microsoft Azure services such as Fabric, Power Automate and Power BI.

Responsibilities
  • Help maintain and develop workflows to automate common tasks across the group in agreement with the Data and Automation Lead.
  • Support the requirements gathering process with a range of stakeholders, understanding their challenges and agreeing what the output should be.
  • Help develop solutions that will save time and reduce margin for error.
  • Support the programme of projects and agree with the manager priority tasks, completing and tracking progress.
  • Keep on top of new software developments and upgrades, researching how these can support more efficient ways of working.
Requirements
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems, understanding their configuration and developing workflows.
  • Some knowledge of coding, Python ideally.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure services such as Fabric, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • A logical and process driven approach to problem solving.
  • A learning mindset with a commercial outlook.
  • Ability to interpret user requirements into workable solutions.
