GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with pupils who require tailored one-to-one support and to become part of a supportive, inclusive school community.
Deliver 1:1 support to students with Autism and complex needs using a child-centred approach
Assist with daily classroom tasks and promote inclusive learning
Implement strategies to support pupils’ communication, learning, and social development
Adapt learning resources and activities to suit individual needs
Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create personalised learning plans
Encourage student independence, confidence, and resilience
Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or complex needs
A solid understanding of ASD and differentiated approaches to learning
The ability to work calmly and supportively in fast-paced or emotionally challenging environments
A proactive and resilient attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education and SEN support
