Audit Supervisor

Blackburn

Up to £45,000

Butler Rose are recruiting for an Audit Supervisor to join a well-established accountancy practice in Blackburn, known for its long history of supporting owner-managed businesses and its strong presence across Lancashire and the wider UK. The role offers genuine variety across audit, accounts and advisory work, along with clear opportunities for progression as the firm continues to grow.

Duties

• Lead audit sections from planning through to completion on smaller, less complex assignments.
• Allocate work to junior team members, ensuring clear explanations of objectives and testing methods.
• Review work completed by junior colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
• Take ownership of key audit areas on larger assignments, including more technical sections such as stock, deferred tax and related party transactions.
• Prepare audit planning documentation and going concern reviews.
• Act as the main point of contact on smaller audits, resolving day-to-day client queries.
• Produce high-quality analytical reviews.
