Job description

Audio Visual Technician. Harrods is seeking a skilled and service-driven Audio Visual Engineer to support the delivery and maintenance of AV systems across our Knightsbridge and Hammersmith sites.

Working within the Information Technology team, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of digital signage, meeting room technologies, and background music systems, while providing high-level support for events and day-to-day AV needs.

This role is shift based, 5 days a week in Knightsbridge with on call over the weekend done on a rota basis.

About the Role

As the Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the audio visual systems on-site. Your primary focus will be on making sure the businesses needs are met, by attending to service tickets, setting up and operating meetings and events. Out of hours works will be required on a shift basis with possibilities for monitoring from home.

  • Take ownership and responsibility for the management and tracking of critical spares onsite
  • Proactively troubleshoot and remediate AV faults using established diagnostic techniques, repair or replace items as required
  • Communicate and coordinate on-site with clients, facility owners, general contractors, and associated trades as required to complete AV fixes and provide regular updates on tickets and reports
  • Configure video wall processors, setup signage players and modify audio solutions
About You

This role demands technical expertise, proactive fault resolution, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have previous hands on AV experience (Sinage screens, Audio Processing, Sinage CMS) as well great communication skills both written and verbal as you will be speaking to internal, stakeholders and senior level staff members in the business.

It is important that you have experience with Dante networks and designing Audio.
