The Role

• As a Service Engineer, you''ll be the face of the client''s aftercare and support service, responsible for:
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across smart home automation, lighting control, AV distribution, networking, and home cinema systems.
• Providing both remote and on-site support to existing clients.
• Performing maintenance visits and system upgrades.
• Liaising with clients and the wider engineering team to ensure seamless support and excellent customer experience.
• Install, configure, and maintain audio visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio visual equipment and systems.

What the Client is Looking For

• Proven experience in AV or smart home service engineering (ideally within residential automation).
• Strong working knowledge of platforms such as Control4, Lutron, Rako, or similar.
• Good understanding of networking and IP-based systems.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A proactive problem-solver with a flexible, can-do attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desirable (but not essential): Manufacturer training (e.g. Control4, Lutron).
• Experience with remote monitoring and support platforms.
• Basic programming or configuration skills.
