Overview
Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for Vehicle Technicians to join Listers Audi Birmingham. The hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, 40-hour week (1 in 3 Saturday mornings, averages out at 41.5 hours per week).
Our packages and new pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset.
- The basic salaries start from £30,000 up to £42,000
- Bonus / OTE’s range from £38,000 up to £48,000 (Bonus uncapped)
Ideally, we are looking for Service Technicians with Volkswagen Group experience but will consider all applications if you hold NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Role And Responsibilities
- Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
- The main responsibilities include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
- Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
- You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
- You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
- You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting (CitNOW).
- You will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Work closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.
About You
- We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience as a Vehicle Technician or related roles (e.g., Mechanic, HGV Mechanic/Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, MOT Tester, Apprentice Vehicle Technician) to join Listers.
- Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
- As a minimum you will hold or be working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- MOT License would be beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK Driving licence.
