Working Pattern: 15 hours per week

Days: Thursday & Friday

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Temporary Attendance Officer to support a school in Alcester during a busy period. This short-term assignment requires a highly organised individual with strong communication skills and experience working within an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and accurately record pupil attendance using the school's management information system
  • Make daily calls to parents and carers regarding unexplained absences
  • Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams to identify patterns and concerns
  • Produce attendance reports for senior leadership as required
  • Support the consistent application of school attendance policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure all work adheres to safeguarding standards
  • Liaise professionally with staff, parents, carers, and external agencies
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in an attendance, administrative, or school-based role is desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail when handling data
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A clear understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Enhanced DBS is required
  • Must be fully available from 1st-19th December and able to work Thursdays & Fridays, 8:30am-4:30pm
