A Westminster-based charity seeking a cook for its night shelter project. The role involves planning and preparing healthy meals for guests, managing food supplies, and ensuring kitchen hygiene. Candidates should have experience in cooking, a flexible attitude, and the ability to work within a team. This position is vital for extending hospitality to vulnerable individuals, requiring dedication to the organization's mission and values.
All Souls Serve the City (ASSTC) is a Westminster-based charity that seeks to serve those in our area who are isolated, overlooked, and exploited, bringing the message and ministry of Jesus. The charity was formed to consolidate a number of ministries that developed from within the All Souls Clubhouse and All Souls Church, a diverse, multi‑generational, vibrant congregation in central London with a heart to reach the city and the nations for Jesus.
Our aim in ASLAN, the All Souls Local Action Network, is to engage with people affected by homelessness by offering them individualised care, support and befriending.
ASLAN Faith and Volunteer Network (FVN) Night Shelter 25/26 is an innovative project for individuals rough sleeping in Westminster. The shelter runs from November until the end of March with various churches contributing in different ways. Each venue will offer individualised companionship and support whilst the guests (re)engage with St Mungos and Westminster Council, pursue Council‑directed solutions for the short term, and explore long‑term housing solutions. We are seeking a cook to ensure we are able to extend generous hospitality to our guests each night in the form of healthy and varied hot meals. The role would involve developing a menu, managing the supply and delivery of ingredients, and preparing meals for the week ahead that can be frozen ahead of distribution by our volunteer teams each evening.
