The Patient-Centered Solutions team (PCS)

The PCS team leads the industry in the science of measuring the patient experience. We help our clients by applying our consulting expertise and technical scientific knowledge to design and execute scientifically rigorous research that incorporates the patient voice into the development and commercialization of new medicines. This research includes qualitative (e.g., patient interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g., clinical outcome assessments (COAs)/patient‑reported outcomes (PROS), preference research) and passive (e.g., digital health technology tools) approaches to understand patient, caregiver and physician experiences and expectations of disease and treatment.

What will you do?

As an Associate/ Associate Consultant you will be part of our EMEA‑wide team, working internationally from one of 3 locations: Madrid, Amsterdam or London. You’ll be actively participating in the design, development, and delivery of consulting projects. Typically, you will work on 2 projects at the same time and your role will include:

  • Conducting primary and secondary research such as interviewing patients and clinical experts, reviewing published literature, and searching databases of trials and validated measures
  • Performing quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in the generation of insights and the development of reports client deliverables
  • Communicating strategic insights and recommendations to clients
  • Supporting the development of intellectual property for use on future consulting engagements
  • Helping create high impact reports, presentations, workshops, and other client deliverables, with help from experienced team leaders
  • Assisting with business development and proposals
Requirements
  • An advanced academic social science degree in public health, epidemiology, psychology, sociology, medical anthropology, health economics or another related field
  • Prior experience or avid interest in the healthcare and life science industries
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques is a big plus
  • Training and interest in conducting primary and secondary research and analyzing and synthesizing results
  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • An ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • An ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in multi‑disciplinary and international teams
  • Permanent right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Readiness to work in hybrid model (typically 1–2 days per week spent at the office)
