Role: Associate Building Surveyor
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Associate Building Surveyor to join our Glasgow based client. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced building surveyor looking to progress their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The role will suit a highly motivated Senior Building Surveyor looking to further their career in a team of like minded consultants.

About the Role

As an Associate Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality professional services across a diverse range of projects. You will play a key role in advising clients on all aspects of building surveying, including contract administration, dilapidations, condition surveys, and project management. You will also mentor junior staff and help drive the growth and success of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct building surveys and produce detailed reports.
  • Manage and oversee repair, maintenance, and refurbishment projects.
  • Provide expert advice on dilapidations, and building defects.
  • Offer professional guidance to clients on construction and property issues.
  • Manage and deliver projects from inception to completion.
  • Assist in the mentoring and development of junior surveyors and trainees.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that junior members of staff are fully briefed on their role and training opportunities are maximised
Requirements
  • MRICS qualified with a proven track record in building surveying.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in managing a team and leading projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
