As an Assistant Underwriter, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Intellectual Property team across all aspects of underwriting. This will include handling new business and renewals, responding to broker queries, and gradually building your own broker relationships to support business development.
You’ll be exposed to a wide range of intellectual property risks, spanning multiple territories and business sectors. The role will require curiosity to understand complex and evolving risks, as well as strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise effectively.
You’re motivated, determined, and eager to succeed. With strong analytical ability, logical thinking and critical problem-solving skills paired excellent numeracy with clear and confident communication.
Confident and self-driven, you enjoy working to deadlines and achieving results. You’re comfortable using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and above all, you thrive in a team environment where collaboration leads to shared success.
While direct underwriting experience isn’t essential, experience within insurance is important. Most of all, you bring a genuine interest in emerging risks and a desire to learn.
