Job summary

Vertu Mercedes Benz of Ascot is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to assist the Aftersales Manager in day-to-day operations, front-of-house duties and service planning. You will manage resources, coach the team, and help maintain high standards of customer care.

A background in the automotive sector, strong communication skills, and a full UK driving licence are essential. The role offers a £40,000 base salary with an OTE of around £50,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the automotive industry in a similar role, Senior Service Advisor or Service Manager.
• Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to coach and motivate colleagues.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support Aftersales Manager in daily department operations, front‑of‑house.
• Oversee work planning, resource management and team performance.
• Coach, develop and motivate staff to achieve targets.
• Own customer concerns and ensure resolution and recording in systems.
• Drive additional sales via VHC processes and manage Mercedes‑Benz Breakdown Service.

Vertu Mercedes Benz of Ascot, have a great opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager to join the team with a£40,000 basic salary and OTE of £50,000.

You’ll support the Aftersales Manager in the daily running of the department, specifically front-of-house operations. You’ll oversee work planning, resource management, and team performance — including coaching, developing, and motivating colleagues to achieve their best.

You’ll also take ownership of customer concerns, ensuring they're resolved efficiently and recorded accurately in both Mercedes-Benz and Vertu systems. The role also involves driving additional sales via VHC processes and managing the Mercedes-Benz Breakdown Service.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in the automotive industry, either within asimilar role, a Senior Service Advisor roleor you may have already worked within the Service Manager position.This is an excellent opportunity to show us that you have an enviable and proven track record of performance. You will have exceptional communication skills and have a full, valid UK driving licence.
