Role Overview

Birmingham Ormiston Academy is a 14-19 academy specialising in Creative, Digital and Performing Arts. The Academy opened in September 2011 and has over 1000 students. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo to support the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of SEND provision across the academy. The Assistant SENDCO plays a key role in promoting high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improved outcomes for students with additional needs. This role includes contributing to the development of inclusive practices, leading intervention strategies, supporting staff development, liaising with external agencies, and line managing the SEND support team.

Salary: Support Staff Scale Point 9 - £24,774 term time + 10 days only (£27,254 FTE) to Support Staff Scale Point 25 - £33,054 term-time only (£36,363 FTE)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Please note: This is a term-time only + 10 days role, hence the pro‑rated salary range. All national pay scales are pending approval.
