Qualifications

  • Ability to apply commercial knowledge within Energy Networks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong numeracy skills to solve complex financial problems.
  • Write clear reports and communicate complex information.
  • Negotiate target prices and manage risk allocations.
  • Mitigate commercial risks through effective risk registers.
  • Measure performance against KPIs and propose improvements.
  • Awareness of statutory obligations and HR procedures.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining commercial control of contractors.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with processes.
  • Measure supplier performance and prepare reports.
  • Provide benchmarks and budget forecasts for the business.
  • Challenge excessive contractor costs based on benchmarks.
  • Manage contractual relationships and resolve disputes.
  • Develop scopes and prepare budgets for Target Cost works.
  • Agree values for works for progress payments.
  • Represent Energy Networks in negotiation meetings.
  • Contribute to departmental operational plans.
