The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic consultancy team. Working closely with senior surveyors, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across cost management, contract administration, and project delivery. The role offers full support towards RICS chartership and exposure to a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and elemental cost plans
  • Help produce Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
  • Support contract administration, valuations, and final accounts
  • Attend site visits and client meetings under supervision
  • Contribute to general cost and project management tasks
  • Work towards APC and RICS qualification
Essential Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills
  • Genuine interest in construction and the built environment
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a QS or construction‑related role (placement or internship)
  • Familiarity with software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or MS Excel
  • Ambition to become RICS or CIOB chartered
  • Understanding of current construction methods and procurement processes
