A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking enthusiastic Assistant Psychologists to join their expanding Adult Neurodevelopmental Services. The role involves conducting psychological assessments for adults with conditions such as ADHD and Autism, supporting clinical teams with interventions, and maintaining high standards of documentation. Ideal candidates will be psychology graduates eager to develop hands-on clinical skills within a multidisciplinary environment. This is a full-time position offering an opportunity to contribute to various service evaluation projects.
The post-holders will work as part of an expanding multidisciplinary team with adults with suspected neurodevelopmental conditions. The successful candidates will support the clinical teams with delivering high quality diagnostic assessments to adults on either an Adult ADHD or Autism pathway. These roles will involve pre and post diagnostic support, signposting and care navigation. A core part of the Assistant Psychologist role will be to support the development of psychological treatment options following diagnosis including psychoeducation, group and 1:1 interventions. The post-holder will attend psychology and wider MDT team meetings and case discussion forums on a regular basis. They will contribute to the ongoing development of neuroaffirmative practice across the service.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologists to join our Adult Neurodevelopmental Services across Central North West London NHS Trust.
Local service expansion means an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 3 full-time, Assistant Psychologists to join us. Successful candidates will support the clinical teams in conducting diagnostic assessments of adults with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). There will be opportunity to provide brief psychological intervention, to clients following diagnosis. All clinical work will be carried out under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. This is an excellent opportunity for psychology graduates who are keen to develop direct clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and psychological intervention. The successful candidates will also be encouraged to contribute to service evaluation projects in line with service need. The successful candidates will be part of dynamic multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, psychiatrists, non-medical prescribers, peer workers, nurses, administrators, speech and language therapist and occupational therapists. We are looking for applicants who either have experience working in neurodevelopmental settings or have a good foundation of transferable skills and an interest to develop in this area.
