A healthcare provider in Leeds is looking for an Assistant Psychologist to work with women in a mental health setting. The role involves contributing to psychological assessments, facilitating interventions, and assisting with training and projects. An upper second-class honours degree in Psychology is required, alongside experience in a relevant setting. You will be working with women aged 18 years and over in a specialist mental health setting, alongside addressing conditions like depression, self harm, physical health concerns, and psychological distress including trauma.
As an Assistant Psychologist you will have the opportunity to assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment to our service users, under the supervision of the Senior Psychologist. You will also assist in clinically related administration including conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching, and project work.

The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. 37.5 hours per week.

You will be working at Spring Wood Lodge, a service that supports women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours. Typically they have a diagnosis of personality disorder or a severe mental illness.
They may not have had their needs met in a general psychiatric service including acute inpatient units, community mental health teams or community personality disorder service. Working as part of a team, you will focus on active rehabilitation with a view to achieving sustainable discharge.
