A prominent healthcare provider in the UK is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Programme and Service Manager to support complex health screening and immunisation programmes. The chosen candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery and compliance within the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to public health initiatives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple workstreams.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Programme and Service Manager to join our dynamic Screening Department. You will play a key role in the planning, performance management, and delivery of a range of complex screening and immunisation programmes across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Argyll & Bute.
You will support the Child Health & Screening Service Delivery & Programme Manager, taking a lead operational role in national system development, local implementation, and strategic planning. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to public health, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders and managing multiple work streams in a fast‑paced environment.
This role involves providing assistance to the overall Programme Manager in managing staff and system performance, and ensuring compliance with all national and local pre‑school and school immunisation workflows as well as all adult and childhood screening programmes. The role will require linking with other local and national stakeholders to drive process and change in relation to the programmes delivered by the team. This remit covers the entire NHS GG&C population and elements of Argyll & Bute via SLA arrangements.
