Job summary

Five Guys in the United Kingdom is hiring Assistant Managers to work with the General Manager, leading shifts and coaching teams to deliver exceptional burgers and service. You will drive profitability, supervise operations, and foster a positive, energetic environment that reflects our values.

You will oversee on-shift performance, handle customer feedback promptly, and contribute to a culture of excellence with a focus on safety, cleanliness and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years of management in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Customer satisfaction focus with a track record of strong Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews.
• Financial responsibility: experience with P&L, labour cost control, and inventory/waste management.
• Leadership skills: proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
• Operational excellence: solid knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead Shift Managers and Crew on the line and dining area to ensure great service.
• Support the General Manager in delivering perfect burgers & fries, store results and customer experience.
• Create a positive working environment aligned with Five Guys values—Competitive, Enthusiastic, Family, Get It Done and Integrity.
• Ensure every customer is delighted with their order and handle complaints promptly and honestly.
• Oversee shift operations to run smoothly and think about long-term plans and talent development.
• Own the P&L, drive sales and control costs while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
