Job summary

Five Guys is seeking an Assistant Manager in the UK to work alongside the General Manager, leading teams to deliver exceptional customer service and profitability. You will coach staff, drive sales while controlling costs, and take ownership of P&L on shift, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards remain at the highest level.

You will respond to guest feedback promptly, support long-term planning, and help develop talent for future leadership roles within the business.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
• Experience with P&L management, labour cost control and inventory/waste management.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and guest experience.
• Solid understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and coach teams to deliver profitability and optimise sales opportunities.
• Support the General Manager in delivering store results and customer experience.
• Handle complaints promptly and maintain a high level of service.
• Ensure shifts run smoothly, manage long-term plans, and drive sales with cost control.
• Develop talent and create a strong pipeline for future roles.
