Job summary

Five Guys in the United Kingdom seeks an Assistant Manager to work with the General Manager, lead shifts, coach teams, and drive store profitability while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will model leadership, maintain high food safety standards, and ensure the team provides a memorable Five Guys experience. The role requires flexibility to cover evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction and Mystery Shopper results.
• Experience with P&L management and cost control.
• Strong leadership and talent development.
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift teams on the floor and on the line to deliver great burgers and service.
• Support the General Manager in achieving store profitability and targets.
• Create a positive, energetic working environment aligned with Five Guys values.
• Ensure every customer feels attended to and resolves issues promptly and honestly.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth shifts and long-term planning.
• Own the shift’s P&L and contribute to sales growth while controlling costs.
