Job description
Assistant Manager - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Bloxwich, West Midlands. This is a permanent full‑time position with a 43‑hour contract, working five days a week (usually including at least one weekend shift). The role requires full flexibility across the week, including weekends.

Role Details
  • Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.
  • Pay: £30,240 - £31,392 per annum (dependent on experience).

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
  • Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
