Job description

Gambit Search is partnered with a fast-growing international advisory firm to appoint an Assistant Manager into their Restructuring Advisory team in either their Birmingham or Nottingham office. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team within a respected international practice, working on complex and high-profile situations across a broad range of sectors.

It's an excellent step for a qualified accountant looking to pivot out of audit (or similar background) and leverage those skills in a more commercial, client-facing role.

The Role
  • Contingency planning and options reviews
  • Cash-flow analysis and financial modelling
  • Stakeholder advisory on stressed and distressed situations
  • Supporting formal insolvency processes such as administrations and liquidations

Projects are fast-moving and varied, giving you meaningful responsibility within lean deal teams (typically 3-6 people) and strong visibility from day one.

What They're Looking For
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) - essential
  • Experience in restructuring, insolvency, audit, or another relevant financial discipline
  • Strong analytical capability and commercial mindset
    Why This Firm?
    • International footprint with ongoing growth and investment
    • Strong team culture with clear progression
    • Exposure to high-quality, multi-jurisdictional restructuring work
    • Opportunity to develop across the full breadth of restructuring services
