About the role

We’re thrilled to announce a fantastic and rare opening at our Burton Service Centre for a passionate and proactive Assistant Inventory Manager. This important role supports our agile transformation journey, helping embed agile principles, tools, and practices across teams to foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and value‑driven delivery. You’ll help guide teams through agile implementation, advocating for a mindset shift across all levels of the organisation in inventory management.

Key responsibilities
  • Investigate outstanding adjustments weekly, finding root causes and reporting issues.>
  • Communicate with other colleagues, the control room, and supply teams on stock issues.
  • Collate data for the team on agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure that team members meet performance standards for quality, productivity & attendance.
  • Keep the team engaged & deliver team briefings.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Health & Safety, security, product safety.
  • Maintain an effective handover from the off‑going shift and prepare & deliver pre‑shift briefings.
What you’ll need to have
  • Strong background in inventory management, including leading teams and handling warehouse adjustments.
  • Inventory analysis & problem solving: investigate & resolve discrepancies, identify root causes & escalate when needed.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: experience working closely with multiple departments – Control Room & Supply Teams – to resolve stock‑related challenges.
  • Operational responsiveness: provide accurate feedback to operational queries.
  • Data reporting & KPI tracking: collect, analyse & report performance data against established KPIs.
  • Team performance management: manage team productivity, attendance & overall performance.
  • Team communication & engagement: lead briefings & maintain engagement through consistent updates.
  • Regulatory compliance oversight: enforce Health & Safety, security & product safety regulations within an operational setting.
  • Shift coordination: manage shift transitions through structured handovers & effective pre‑shift briefings.
