We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant in Nursing to join our Rehabilitation Unit and expand their career within a supportive and dedicated team environment.
You will work as part of a unit committed to providing excellent, patient‑centred care, supporting clients from admission through to discharge. The Rehabilitation Ward has a diverse caseload and operates as a stand‑alone 22‑bed unit specialising in:
The unit provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to patients aged 16 years and over. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of experienced Rehabilitation and Geriatric specialists, where staff are valued and supported to enhance their skills and knowledge through ongoing education.
You will be supported in your role by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Leaders and the Education Team, and will receive a comprehensive orientation to both the unit and the facility.

Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is a major referral hospital within the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). The hospital has approximately 270 inpatient beds and includes 8 Operating Theatres, a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit, an 8-bed Coronary Care Unit, Medical, Surgical and Orthopaedic Units, a Palliative Care Unit, and a Specialised Rehabilitation Unit.
