Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Senior Sommelier or Assistant Head Sommelier.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and service‑driven Assistant Head Sommelier to join our opening team and help shape a world‑class dining destination in the heart of London.


With a focus on quality ingredients, bold flavours, and warm, intuitive service, this is more than just a place to eat, it’s a place to experience.


About the Role:

As Assistant Head Sommelier, you will support the Head Sommelier in leading the wine programme for our new dining concept. This is a key leadership position within the restaurant team, responsible for delivering exceptional wine service and curating an outstanding guest experience.


Please note that this role is expected to commence February 2nd, 2026.


What you will do:


  • Assist in managing the sommelier team and ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Support the development and maintenance of an innovative wine list that complements the restaurant’s culinary vision.

  • Oversee wine cellar management, stock control, and supplier relationships.

  • Train and mentor junior sommeliers and service staff.

  • Deliver personalised wine recommendations and pairings for guests.

  • Uphold Four Seasons standards of excellence in service and hospitality.


What you bring:


  • Previous experience as a Senior Sommelier or Assistant Head Sommelier in a Michelin‑starred or luxury environment.

  • Strong knowledge of global wine regions and trends.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • WSET Level 3 or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent communication and team leadership.

  • A desire to innovate and elevate the guest experience through wine.

  • All applicants must hold the right to work in the UK.


Schedule and hours:


  • This is a full‑time position, contracted at 40 hours per week.

  • Wine service is both lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

  • Candidates must be flexible to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
