Job description

This leading award winning Landscaping contractor client is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Gardener to join the team full‑time working on a 100 acre high spec residential site.

As the successful candidate you will have a good level of horticultural knowledge for the ongoing care and maintenance of beautifully designed, high‑end private site in the Reading area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, feeding, seasonal planting, and pest / disease control
  • Use and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all works are conducted safely and respectfully
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with team members
Requirements
  • Minimum 1- 2 years’ experience in garden maintenance (estates preferred)
  • Good plant knowledge and strong horticultural skills
  • Proactive, reliable, and detail‑oriented
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a small team
  • Good communication
  • Physically fit and prepared to work in all weather
  • UK driving license preferred (not essential)
