A regional healthcare provider in Bury St Edmunds is looking for a part-time Assistant Flow Co-ordinator to join their Emergency Department. This role requires solid communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, ensuring efficient patient flow while assisting the Nurse in Charge. Candidates should have administrative experience and familiarity with NHS operations. This position offers a salary of £24,937 to £26,598 pro rata.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Flow Co-Ordinator to join our busy admin and clerical team within the Emergency Department.
We are looking for a passionate individual who can work both well within a team and also can demonstrate the ability to use own initiative.
The role of the Flow Co-ordinator is to provide support to the Nurse in Charge (NIC)whilst working alongside clinical teams, patients and the general public. To provide a comprehensive and efficient operational and clerical service to the Emergency Department, ensuring all work is prioritised according to the demands of the department.
The flow co-ordinator will be expected to work as part of the ED team, under the direction of the NIC, and management of the Administration Manager to ensure the smooth flow of patients through the department. It is expected that by co-ordinating administrative tasks, and liaising with other departments, the post holder will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the ED resulting in a significant reduction in patient journey times.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assisting the NIC in maintaining the smooth positive through flow of the department
Efficient and effective communication with Department MDT & Trust wide specialities
Breach target and performance adherence
