A leading medical device company in London is seeking an Assistant Engineer, Service Repair. The role involves inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates should have experience in documenting repair processes and collaborating with service teams. This position offers a dynamic work environment focused on patient safety and product excellence.
Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of medical endoscopes following established procedures, service manuals, and quality standards.
Ensure all repaired units meet functional and safety specifications before release.
Adhere to SOPs, work instructions, repair flows, GDPMDS, SS 620:2016, and regulatory requirements.
Document each repair step, parts used, test data, traceability, repair logs, nonconformances, and deviations.
Maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDocP) and ensure accurate, legible, and traceable records at all times.
Support compliance with GQMS and Olympus requirements.
Maintain repair bench, jigs, fixtures, test rigs, calibration tools, and instrumentation in working order.
Calibrate, validate, and service test tools and measurement equipment.
Maintain ESD zones, cleanroom protocols, and contamination control.
Follow workplace safety, infection control, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection guidelines during all repair activities to prevent product contamination or damage.
Promptly report safety incidents, hazards, deviations, and support root cause resolution.
Sustain 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) discipline in your work area and shared scope repair areas.
Enforce workplace safety, infection control, chemical handling, and ESD precautions.
Collaborate closely with other service engineers, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of repaired products.
Provide technical support or advice to internal stakeholders when required.
