Assistant Editor
Responsibilities
- Support the editorial process for academic research journals in your domain of expertise
- Organize the peer review process for submitted manuscripts and coordinate editorial decisions
- Handle email communication between the parties involved in the publication process
- Collaborate with other members of the editorial team and production team
- Ensure that scholarly articles are accurately edited and published according to tight deadlines with a high degree of consistency
Qualifications
- A PhD (preferred) or Master’s degree in a field related to Engineering, including but not limited to:
- Management Science (e.g., Systems thinking, Systems engineering, System dynamics and complex systems; Engineering management; management science and engineering; economics Management; Applied Mathematics; Operations Research; Decision Science and Technology; Engineering Cybernetics; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; control engineering; information engineering; mechanical engineering; business management; industrial engineering)
- Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering; Mechanical Electronics Engineering; Precision Instrument Science and Technology; Materials Science and Engineering; Electrical Engineering and Automation)
- Bioengineering (e.g., Bioengineering; Biomedical engineering; Biological Engineering; Regenerative Medicine; Biomaterials; Biomedical Imaging; Biotechnology; Biomechanics; Biochemistry; Bio-Electrical/Electronic Engineering; Bioinformatics/Computational Biology; Biostatistics; Medical Informatics; Nanotechnology; Neuroengineering; Biosensor Technology)
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Team player with the capability to work in a dynamic, international environment
- Detail oriented with the capacity to see the big picture
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Very good communication and coordination skills
