Qualifications

  • Able to interact and influence budget managers across the College.
  • General experience in a finance environment for 2 years or more.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct transactional analysis and forecasting.
  • Manage capital project monthly financials.
  • Perform monthly Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Adjust month-end VAT and prepare quarterly returns.
  • Support the Senior management accountant.

About the Candidate


  • Proactive with a keen attention to detail.

  • Team player that is able to work independently when required.

  • Has good communications skills and is able to interact and influence budget managers across the College.


About the Role


  • College wide role covering capital investment across all campuses.

  • Part of six strong management accounts team and 16 strong finance team

  • Opportunities to cross train with other team members for both cover arrangements and career experience/progression

  • Hands on capital budget setting and project forecasting

  • The College supports staff training towards professional qualification


Role Responsibilities


  • Transactional analysis and forecasting

  • Capital project monthly financial management

  • Monthly Bank and other balance sheet control account reconciliations

  • Month-end VAT adjustments and quarterly VAT return

  • Support the Senior management accountant


Qualifications


  • AAT Level 3 or equivalent


Essential Skills & Experience


  • Intermediate Excel skills and general experience in MS office

  • Worked within a finance environment for 2 years or more
