Assistant Accountant

The Role:

As an Assistant Accountant at Deckers Brands, you'll be a vital part of our EMEA finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting operations with a special focus on our dynamic e-commerce channel. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager and collaborate across global teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, perform reconciliations, and drive process improvements. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your experience within a global finance function and make a real impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Your Impact:
  • Prepare accurate month-end working papers and perform reconciliations across multiple balance sheet accounts
  • Manage daily bank reconciliations for several accounts, including e-commerce, sweeps, and liquidity, ensuring all schedules are completed on time
  • Support the Finance Manager in maintaining accounting ledgers and executing month-end processes for Deckers EMEA entities
  • Collaborate with accounting staff across EMEA, US, and other global markets to resolve queries and ensure timely, effective communication
  • Record and reconcile prepaid expenses, maintaining up-to-date schedules for assigned entities
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and manage balance sheet reclassification for all EMEA entities
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automating manual processes using Excel, Hyperion, and other tools
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the EMEA General Ledger team, expanding your exposure and experience

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast‑paced environment and to meet fixed deadlines essential.
