Job title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Elstree, Hertfordshire

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 per week - flexible between 8:00am and 6:00pm

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing cash allocations and debtor control
• Investigating and resolving balance sheet queries
• Liaising with management and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Processing and reviewing bank transfers and related documentation
• Assisting with month-end duties and supporting the Regional Accountant

About You

You will be a confident and analytical professional with a passion for finance and a strong eye for detail. You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as an Assistant Accountant (automotive industry experience advantageous)
• Is confident using accounting systems (Kerridge experience a plus)
• Holds or is studying towards an AAT or similar accounting qualification
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
• Works with accuracy, initiative, and a proactive attitude
