Responsibilities
  • To provide accounting and financial support in achieving contract goals by ensuring revenue and costs are booked correctly and in a timely manner each month.
  • Assist with P&L, balance sheet preparation, WIP reconciliations, and month-end journals.
  • Lead weekly cost reviews and support operational teams with financial awareness and reporting.
  • Manage sales ledger tasks including invoicing, cash allocation, debtor reporting, and payment chasing.
  • Oversee purchase processes (orders, invoice coding, cost entry) and job creation in finance systems.
  • Produce cost analysis, job reports, and support the preparation of monthly management packs.
Person Specification
  • Part qualified with professional accounting body e.g. CIMA Certificate / Operational Level complete / AAT or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience using Accounting Systems (SAP Preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and business partnering skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Intermediate level use of Excel e.g. Pivot tables / SUMIFS / Vlookups.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
