Assessor - Early Support & Advice Hub
Tameside Council - Adult Social Care

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assessor to join Tameside's Early Support & Advice Hub (ESAH) - the first point of contact for Adult Social Care in the borough.

Responsibilities
  • Pick up calls and enquiries, gathering essential information.
  • Speak directly with individuals, listening carefully and providing support.
  • Carry out pre-screening of Care Act assessments.
  • Focus on helping people live well and independently at home, drawing on community, voluntary and health services where appropriate.
  • This is a frontline role that makes a real difference, supporting people to remain in their own homes and reducing the need for more intensive care.
Key information
  • Shift pattern: 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, including some weekend shifts.
  • Flexible working: Some late shifts can be completed remotely.
  • Contract: Short-term, to cover while permanent recruitment takes place.
  • Driver: Essential - you must hold a valid driving licence.
Pay
  • PAYE: £13.01 per hour
  • Umbrella: £17.65 per hour
