We’re looking for a dedicated Assessment and Engagement Worker to join our community drug and alcohol service in Aldershot on a full time permanent contract.
In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals accessing support, conducting comprehensive assessments, and engaging them in tailored interventions that promote long‑term recovery. You’ll work closely with individuals, families, and partner agencies to ensure people receive the right support at the right time.

Oversee the hub’s front‑of‑house area, supporting Recovery Volunteers to facilitate effective brief interventions.
Engage with service users on arrival, addressing day‑to‑day issues as they arise.
Undertake screenings and comprehensive assessments with service users.
Utilise evidence‑based tools and interventions to support people on their recovery journey.
Be prepared to hold a small caseload of service users and support them through their recovery journey.
Take the lead in managing complex behaviours within the reception/open access area.
Signpost to local services and empower service users to build their community networks and recovery capital.
Promote visible and contagious recovery within the hub.
