Qualifications

• Proven management experience in manufacturing, ideally in aerospace or a highly regulated sector.
• Knowledge of MAIT processes, including functional testing, bonding/isolation, vibration, and thermal testing.
• Ability to gain SC clearance (UK resident for at least 5 years).
• Full UK driving licence.

Assembly, Intergration & Test Manager Duties

• Managing the daily activities of the MAIT team, ensuring safety, quality, and deadlines are met
  
  
• Allocating resources, issuing work orders, and preparing build documentation
  
  
• Coordinating with other departments to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability
  
  
• Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with H&S policies
  
  
• Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and escalating where necessary
  
  
• Supporting policy and process development to enhance MAIT operations
  
  

Assembly, Intergration & Test Manager Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/physics (or HNC/equivalent with strong relevant experience)
  
  
• Proven management experience in manufacturing, ideally in aerospace or a highly regulated sector
  
  
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  
  
• Knowledge of MAIT processes, including functional testing, bonding/isolation, vibration, and thermal testing
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
  
  
• Ability to gain SC clearance (UK resident for at least 5 years)
  
  
• Full UK driving licence
  
  

Desirable: ECSS standards experience, space industry background, or apprentice-trained.
