Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Assembly Fitter for immediate start in Stowmarket, Suffolk. The role involves assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components using hand and power tools. The position offers a starting salary of £13ph+ with training provided, along with regular overtime at increased pay rates. Ideal candidates will have a background in manufacturing or automotive trades. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will aid in producing engines and ensuring quality through assembly tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive trade is advantageous.
  • Background in manufacturing preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime.

Job Details
  • Role: Assembly Fitter
  • Start date: Immediate Start
  • Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk
  • Hours: 07:00-15:30 (40 hours)
  • Salary: £13ph+ (weekly pay) & regularly overtime available

We are looking for an Assembly Operative to work in a mechanical capacity, anyone with experience in automotive trade would be of huge advantage.

Starting salary £13ph+ with training provided. Overtime is also regularly available, all at increased rates of pay. There is a salary review with the possibility of a pay rise following your probation.

You will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will be involved with the production of engines using hand / power tools.

Duties
  • Complete assembly of mechanical, electrical & hydraulic components by reading engineering drawings
  • Operating various hand, air, and power tools to manufacture machinery in a timely manner
  • Perform component re-work as and when needed
  • Responsible for picking parts to a pick list accurately
  • Supporting the rest of the team by testing and preparing parts for final dispatch
  • Ideally you will have a manufacturing background with some form of engineering qualification. Or have worked in a similar production role that involves mechanical assembly.
