As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Asbestos Consultant to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a proactive, reliable and flexible Asbestos Consultant to join our Asbestos team. As a member of the team, it is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in all aspects of asbestos analytical, surveying and consultancy, and knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Carry out asbestos consultancy and auditing for external clients
• Mentor SOCOTEC staff and audit/approval of staff
• Drive up standards within the asbestos division

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent knowledge of all aspects of asbestos air monitoring and survey work
• Effective communication skills with an ability to confidently convey their knowledge with all levels of stakeholder
• Self learner with a genuine interest in keeping up to date on UK and international aspects of asbestos trends, guidance and legislation

About Asbestos

The SOCOTEC Asbestos team holds UKAS accreditation for both Inspection and Testing and is one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the UK. We provide all aspects of asbestos consultancy services, ensuring clients are better equipped to comply with current legislation. These services include surveying, lab analysis of samples, managing removal projects on the clients’ behalf, consultancy, policy reviews, and action plans and Training. We operate out of six offices covering all areas of the UK, and assist more than 300 clients on a variety of projects, from offices to military bases to hospitals. The work our Asbestos team do is vital in preventing workers from exposure to asbestos fibres, and that all of our clients operate within the asbestos regulations, and wider health and safety framework.
