AS9102 FAIR Engineer – 6-Month On-site Contract

Job summary

A well-established aerospace subcontractor in Glasgow is seeking an experienced FAIR Engineer for a 6-month on-site contract. The candidate will produce and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in compliance with AS9102. Key responsibilities include creating FAIR packs, interpreting engineering drawings, and collaborating with various teams to resolve issues. The rate is £32-£37 per hour, with weekly pay and an Outside IR35 status.

Qualifications

• Proven experience completing FAIRs in aerospace manufacturing/subcontract.
• Strong knowledge of AS9102 and general aerospace quality standards.
• Confident interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with AS9102.
• Create, compile and review FAIR packs to AS9102.
• Work with Quality/Engineering/Production to close out issues.
